Team Agape is in Africa, everyone!
What a blessing and joy it is to be in this incredible place for a month. God has blown away every expectation I had going into this trip, and He’s surprised me with much better things.
He’s worked on places in my heart that I never thought in a million years needed fixing. I think I can speak for the rest of my team and say that we are just so blessed to be here and be walking in the presence of God every day.
There’s something about giving up the American dream for a month (yes, America is a dream), stepping out of the norm, and serving God in another country that brings about so much change in the hearts of people. And that is exactly where team Agape is at right now!
Our hearts are being healed of past pain and broken relationships. We are learning what it means to let our broken past lead us to a purposeful and God-driven future. What a beautiful picture of grace, to see broken hearts healed and futures restored. Not only are we healing others in the name of Jesus, but we ourselves are being healed. It’s such a beautiful thing.
With only twelve days left, we are anxious to see family and friends, but we are so sad to leave this land that has taught each of us so much. The people, the land, the lakes, the sunsets…. everything here is so beautiful.
There is nothing more beautiful than the work God is doing in our hearts though. We are learning to love each other and care for each other, and we will miss one another so much.
On behalf of my team, I just want to say thank you to all our family and friends who have supported us and been our prayer warriors during this time. We love and miss you all!
