We are very excited to announce that we are sending out a trip for students ages 14-18 to Uganda from July 5-August 2 this summer! This trip will be an incredible opportunity to meet the Lord in one of the most diverse areas of the world!
Uganda is a country that has been ravished by war, poverty and disease over the last three decades. In the last 10 years, as many as 29% of the people in rural communities have lived with Aids. Even though Uganda is abundant in resources, it is a very poor nation. There are few resources for parents to provide to their children, and as a result, many children remain uneducated. To make matters worse, Uganda was ravaged by Kony’s “Lord’s Resistance Army” through the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s, and as many as 30,000 children were abducted from their homes in that time.
This summer, we will be doing ministry in many different areas of Uganda. Our goal is to touch the lives of those who may not have been touched otherwise. We want to help those who can’t help themselves, feed those who are hungry and comfort those who mourn. “Freely you have been given so freely give.” Matthew 10:8
